Established in 1998 by Phil Troth and over 200 years combined experience in the industry, Solutions Engineering has delivered exceptional precision engineering services across the meat and dairy and food processing and packaging industry for over two decades.
Based in Te Rapa, Hamilton, we provide reliable, nationwide delivery across New Zealand and specialise in machining high-quality plastics and stainless steels, including SAF 2205.
With Nick, our dedicated Production Manager leading our experienced team, Solutions Engineering is committed to delivering tailored solutions that meet your unique needs. Phil Troth | Founder & Director
Phil has 50 years of experience in the industry and founded the company in 1998. Like all the members of our team, he is fully committed to ensuring our customers receive unmatched quality and service.
Dominic (Nick) Thomson | Production Manager
Nick has been a valued member of Solutions Engineering since 2002. He started as a Welder - Fabricator for his first 3 years, before commencing his machining apprenticeship.
After completing his Trade Certificate (Level 4), he then went on to achieve his Advanced Trade Certificate (Level 5). Nick has since moved into a Manager’s role & is now Production Manager overseeing the day to day running of the workshop.
Nick enjoys playing rugby & cricket in his spare time & enjoys spending time with his family.
